There is growing interest in ventilation as a preventive measure against virus infection. However, in Japan, the climate is hot and humid in the summer and dry and cold in the winter, so opening the windows and ventilating the room will not keep the room temperature comfortable.

Ventilation concerns were also felt by various shops and facilities. Therefore, Daikin developed a retrofit ventilation product to allow spaces with existing air conditioners to have ventilation. While ventilating, fresh air from the outside can come in while keeping the comfortable temperature. Shops, clinics, and elderly care facilities previously concerned about how to ventilate now benefit from and appreciate this product.

Mobile app to book professional technicians for transparent and reliable maintenance services

In Vietnam, consumers are increasingly concerned about the health of themselves and their families, especially fresh air. Air conditioning is often used for this concern, but there is a possibility for bacterial growth if not maintained regularly.

In the current maintenance market, technicians tend to be unprofessional and unequipped with the latest methods. Consumers are often faced with having to pay expensive costs for unnecessary and unexpected services. Therefore, many consumers hesitate to arrange maintenance of air conditioners.

Therefore, Daikin has launched a mobile app service that allows you to make reservations at anytime with only Daikin-certified personnel. Servicemen are trained to Daikin standards, so we can provide high quality maintenance services such as in-flight disinfection with high temperature steam, technology to minimize dust, mold, allergen substances, etc.

Furthermore, by clarifying the preliminary estimate and presenting it to the applicant, it is now possible to receive maintenance services with peace of mind. The app also offers services such as tracking maintenance history and, setting up alerts for the next maintenance appointment which will automatically pop up to notify.

India is increasingly demanding cleaner, fresher air as the outdoor air quality goes down. As Indians become more aware that it is necessary for healthier and more efficient employees, there is a growing need to introduce filtered, fresh air in working spaces.

To cope with this situation, Daikin India designed a product to supply clean, fresh air indoors. Using 2 sets of filters, one for large particles and one for finer particles, the product filtration efficiency and reliability is enhanced.

Daikin contributes to the improvement of employee health and efficiency through providing fresher, cleaner, and better indoor air quality.

Most Indian cities now are very polluted and out of 30 most polluted cities in world, 21 are from India. It is affecting health and wellbeing of its citizen and it is becoming very imperative to improve air quality.

Daikin India is creating units to enhance user experience with superior air quality and also introducing AI for better monitoring and control of different HVAC requirements. In line with this, we have already launched outdoor air processing units with filtration up to PM10 level.

However, outdoor air supplied indoors is not the only concern. Sometimes the indoor air is more polluted than the outdoor due to dust particles and indoor pollutants. To ensure that only clean air is circulated indoors, we will launch our Round Flow Cassette IDU’s with PM 2.5 filtration option.

In future, we plan to develop products which gives improved air quality and are intelligent enough to help user with ease of monitoring, maintenance and operation at desired level. Also AI will help us predict consumer usage patterns and suggest them the best mode/ parameters  on which to run the equipment to achieve desired air conditions thus enhancing consumer experience.

Singapore

Centralized air conditioning system for the whole city to reduce energy consumption by about 30%

Singapore has pledged to reduce Emission Intensity by 36% from the 2005 level by 2030. Improving energy efficiency is among the strategy to meet this ambitious target. “Tengah Town” is the first sustainable smart town model in Singapore and is expected to house about 42,000 new homes. Selected residents in Tengah Town will be offered an energy efficient air conditioning system.

Daikin will supply Singapore‘s first large-scale, centrally cooled residential air conditioning system. Water, cooled by Daikin's Magnetic Bearing Chiller, will be circulated through piping to each house. Each room temperature can be adjusted independently.

This effectively cools down the entire apartment and reduces energy consumption by approximately 30% compared to individual air conditioning for each house. Residents still need to purchase a new air conditioner, but electricity usage and maintenance costs will be at a lower rate due to energy efficiency and service efficiency of having the entire building cooled by Daikin.

Daikin contributes to the development of sustainable communities by providing residential air-conditioning systems throughout the community.
